Argegno is a beautiful area with many restaurants offered than the nearby counterparts. There is also a bar to enjoy to.
We had the pre wedding cocktail party at the Villa Belvedere by the lake. The food were delicious. Argegno location has stunning backdrop of the Lake and nature collides. The clouds will come down and the touch the mountain forest in the morning or in the afternoon. Its such a beautiful thing to see.
Because Argegno is a bit regional or far from Como Lago, you will find English language is hard to come by. Taxi is difficult to find. Even if you will find a number to call through your host or by the post, your call most likely will never be answered like mine! Their so called taxi in Argegno is a private taxi. Do not expect the word “TAXI” printed on the car. Highly recommended to get your own car rental sorted out before heading to this beautiful location. However, the road will give you an adrenalin rush. It is narrow. Two big cars are a crowd :). Small car would make a difference navigating to the road.

Nice small village directly on the lake.
Nice small village directly on the lake. Small centre with about 4-5 restaurants/bars and a very small "alimentari". All you need for a stay of a few days.
Not too many public beaches on Lago di Como in general, but you can find nice spots quite close, if you look for (e.g. Lenno)
Located about 15 min from Como (car) and about 15 min from Villa Carlotta, Villa Balbinanello and from the ferry station to Bellagio-
Next supermarket could be a little close. We found the next bigger one in Tremezzino, about 5-10 min drive.

Peaceful & serene, family hotel, helpful friendly staff,...
Peaceful & serene, family hotel, helpful friendly staff, fulfilled every wish. Good restaurant attached to the hotel with bar, extensive menu. Good continental style breakfast with cappuccino/expresso included. Ferry across the road as well as the bus. Lovely quiet area, we went to a beautiful free concert in the local church with a harp orchestra. Easy access to the other parts of the lake by bus, ferry, taxi or car. Other restaurants in walking distance & there was a private pool with sun lounges down the road. I would have liked to stay longer.

Do NOT stay here.
Do NOT stay here. This place was severely infested with bedbugs and other insects (both at beds, sofas and inside in general). It would need a proper chemical pest control action and renovation of ever to be used for people to stay. Marika C from the accommodation communicated only for a bit – was very unconstructive, dishonest and then blocked us (instead of offering any solution). This property should not be on Booking as it’s a health hazard.
Unless you want to bring pests and bed bugs back to your home (or have to leave after 10 mins to stay in a pricey hotel last minute) – don’t bother booking.

Good base to explore other resorts on Lake Como by Ferry...
Good base to explore other resorts on Lake Como by Ferry service. Nice friendly local bars & restaurants. Great public Lido & fantastic boat hire service available. Buses are a bit unreliable & would not recommend staying in a apartment on the hill without a car unless you are in super fit condition-as the walk to & from town is very strenuous.
The location was great, and the view was beautiful. The bed was very comfortable. The host was friendly and communicative. The surrounding area was beautiful and the home had most of what we needed.I did not use the kitchen to cook but it had plenty of dishes and towels. There were a couple items that we needed to purchase but the location was close to a grocery store. The home is also very close to many restaurants, one can reach them in 5 minutes by foot. It is a very convenient home to explore the beautiful city of Argegno.
The location right near the ferry terminal was perfect. A huge shout out to the hard working ferry man who ran the show on his own (I hope the hotel management understand how important he is).
I am torn with this place as the front desk ladies were lovely but the restaurant was just ok (I dined out at Bistro Argegno which was an outstanding find in the back street).
The older man behind the desk, I believe he was the manager, did not seem friendly at all ; well not to me.
I liked the location, I felt we got to experience the real lake life. We also enjoyed Como, but I preffered we picked a bit outside Como to spend the night: the peaceful evening on the balcony and the lovely morning with the lake waking up is something we wouldn’t get in the city of Como. Room was newly renovated, which was nice. Overall staying around Como in a decent hotel can be quite expensive, so I feel this was a good value for money.
Great location, nice size apartment on 2nd floor and super clean. It's on a narrow and steep street (walkway really) so it's tricky to get to with the car/luggage, but the bonus is there is no traffic. Important: there is no parking except paid parking down in town, a (steep!) 5 min walk.
Argegno is a nice small town with a handful of good restaurants and 2 small markets. Beautiful setting on the lake.
We arrived a few hours late due to traffic and Sabrina was very flexible in meeting us when we finally arrived. We were welcomed with a breakfast basket and lots of supply to take us through the first day. The apartment is in a very nice and quiet location overlooking Argegno and the lake. The apartment is well organized, clean and as advertised.
Well-equipped and spacious apartment studio right in the town center of Argegno. Multiple good restaurants can be found in the surrounding streets. No private parking, but plenty of public parking space is available within walking distance. Argegno is an excellent starting point from which to explore Lake Como’s various points of interest!
The appartment has a wonderful view over the lake. It was very clean, well equipped and good prepared with some specials like some food for breakfast and lunch, fruits, water.
There are only a few minutes to walk to the center of Argegno, the lake and the cable car. Our host was very friendly
and helpful. We enjoyed our stay.
spectacular view, 10 minute walk to the great little village of Argegno, very clean, very responsive host, she recommended a great family owned company to rent a boat (Turati Boat Rental) which was the highlight of our stay. Good restaurants close by. We also loved the balcony. Great air conditioning! Would stay here again.
The location was ideally located. The town was pretty charming and there were lots of restaurants and a little grocery. The ferry dock is also just a few yards away. Argegno is a good base when you are in Lake Como as it is a short drive away from Como and Menaggio and ferry to Bellagio and Varenna.
We had a great time at Sole del Lago.
The flat was very clean and perfect for 6 people. The residence is very calm, with a nice view on the lake from the balcony and the terrace. It is located in a lovely village, Argegno, where there are very good restaurants! We warmly recommend the place.
The meals were lovely especially the porcini mushrooms which are in season. These days it seems many hotels have started to skimp on the soaps etc so it was nice that the hotel provided them. It’s close to many beautiful hikes and not far from the lake. Nice front lawn seating.
Very well located, the bus stop is basically front of the hotel. Delicious breakfast just at the side of the lake, big plus many other hotels can't have. The boat ride is also at the front, so to travel around the lake and its other villages is very straightforward.
The service and reception are perfect. I love the appearance and warming vibe of the hotel. The view of the room is lovely with the balcony. Everything is beyond my expectation. However, the price is a little over my budget.
Great stay in Argegno. Loved the pool and the location just above the town. The town is lovely and the walk to and from town is very interesting with lovely alleys to explore and enjoy. Has a parking garage.
Ferry dock is just opposite the hotel. Great & cheap spot to park with a €3 daily ticket provided by staff…just across the road. Room with lake view with balcony. Bust stop is spot in
Hotel doorstep.
Spectacular location, enhanced by the balcony view from this clean and well-appointed room. Evening meal and breakfast were superb in this friendly family-run hotel. Top-stay, thank-you!
Big room with private bathroom and balcony. Little fridge with drinks. Nice view of Como Lake. Friendly host. Very nice restaurants in the area (sorriso ristorante is recommended)
